Taking a Step Back…

Don’t worry. I’m not stopping this blog.

It’s just - there are a lot of things happening at the same time. And I need some time to settle down.

It’s weird thinking about this:

I published my first article on July 5th, 2021. It’s almost a full year.

A lot of things have happened. And for the blog, it hasn’t always been a pleasant ride, but it sure has been a fruitful and encouraging one.

Because posting an article every week takes time. Then add college work, part-time internships, side projects, socials, and life in general.

It sure felt overwhelming.

I can’t recall how many times I’ve stayed up late the day before the publication date to finish the article.

Then… Why do you still write?

Great question.

Looking back, here are some reasons:

  1. Many people told me they benefitted or liked my blog. I saved every single complement in a Notion page, and those pushed me to continue writing.
  2. Writing is a great way for an introvert like me to communicate.
  3. Writing gives me the chance to reflect on this messy world or brain of mine. This leads to mental clarity.
  4. Writing serves as a motivation for me to learn. Without this blog, I would have never written articles about business thinking or web3.
  5. Writing is documentation. I think it’s important for me to document things as life goes on, so I can look back and see how I’ve changed.
  6. I just love to write.

As you can tell, writing plays an important role in my life. So I do want to continue.

I plan to start writing more frequently. And my goal is to be prepared.

What does that mean?

That means I’ll have many articles already ready to publish at a given moment. And the following should never happen:

Oh, shoot… Publish deadline is in two days, and I haven’t started a single word…

Well, I’ll try.

Life is unpredictable. There will always be things I didn’t expect that’ll completely ruin my plan. But that’s okay.

Anyways, I intend to do the same with my podcast. Right now, I’m editing a new episode that will air this Friday. I hope I can become more consistent with it.

What matters is the long game. And that I’m gradually improving.

But of course, for now, my main priority is my Roblox summer internship.

And that’s a wrap!

Thank you for being awesome and reading this far! :)
